On the day of check-in, from 9am onwards, clients can bring their dogs to the Islay Dog Rescue facility. If the dog needs to be collected this would be arranged at time of booking and would incur an additional charge. This helps the staff/senior volunteer understand the dog's needs and ensure they receive appropriate care during their stay.
During the Stay
During their stay, dogs are provided with regular meals, exercise, and plenty of attention from the staff/senior volunteer. The staff/senior volunteer monitors the dogs closely to ensure they are comfortable and happy. If any simple health issues arise, the staff/senior volunteer are equipped to handle them promptly and effectively. If staff/senior volunteer/senior volunteers have any major concerns about the dogs health they will contact the Veterinary Practice as detailed on the dogs paperwork. Islay Dog Rescue will try to post/send pictures, videos and updates of your dog to you during the stay – time permitting.
The premises are covered by CCTV and there are 3 cameras in the kennel building. All footage is recorded for safety purposes. The owner of Islay Dog Rescue lives on the premises.
Check-Out
When it's time for check-out, the staff/senior volunteer will provide a diary of the dog's stay, including any observations or recommendations for future care.
